Feeling Light & Inspired & Bringing it to My Music!!

Hey "L'Shana Tovah", Happy Jewish New Year, Happy Fall, Happy Happy!!

Today was a great day, got back to my Jewish roots, fasted and observed Yom Kippur. So much meaning, and grounding, to be had in connecting up and embracing my roots! (Had more than one thought of being like Bob Dylan and converting to Orthodox Judaism...) Felt so light while fasting, picked up my guitar and felt so inspired, re-inspired to make music. Like I've written all these songs, now I've got to breath life into them, and I need to touch into my source to have that inspiration. Otherwise, I feel heavy and playing music starts feeling like a chore. So, as Jesus said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all else will be added unto you' . I'm getting that loud and clear today!

So just a heads-up I'm playing at the Yoga Rocks the Mountain festival at the Redwood Chill Space at Yoga Mountain in Fairfax 12-2 tomorrow so come on by!! Location is 85 Bolinas Rd, Fairfax (yogamountainstudio.com for more info).

Otherwise I'm getting ready to bring me and my music on a 6 week trip to Europe, coinciding with Amma's European tour. I've just designed and ordered a 6 song CD demo (pretty much what's on this site here) to bring with me, plus I'm hopefully reviving or "reissuing" an devotional CD I did for the Amma community 5 years ago called "Bless All Your Children". I'm so excited to be going to Europe and hopefully connecting up with spiritual communities there and sharing my music.

Anyway, I wish you all blessings -- oh, also, I put out a cartoon video parodying the marin scene called "marin meet-up" - its got 6000 views now on youtube - check it out if you haven't already. More to come - hopefully live action -once I'm back.

I'm so grateful to be putting my music and art out in the world - it's times like these I feel closest to God and like I'm doing what I'm here to do...I wish that for you too...
XO Jonathan

  1. Head's up Jonathan,

Your music is uplifting, RUMI-nating, and gestating and a gift.
